We are the Buttjens family – Otten, Danny and Laura.
We live in Belgium, in Sint-Truiden (Limburg), in a region called Haspengouw
(in French Hesbaye), known also as The Blossom Region.
Our kennel “Blossomridge” was named after this region.
That’s our passion ... ever since 1994!
Blossomridge Cockers is a very small kennel where the dogs are part of the family.
We have both had dogs in our family for generations, but when we got our own place we started to look for a specific breed.
After months of searching and studying, many dog shows and other research, we decided on a Spaniel, and not just any kind of Spaniel.
It had to be the American Cocker Spaniel.
It all began in 1994 when our first American Cocker, Pearson Cadillac Powered "Power", a black and white, was imported from the US by Pearson Cockers.
After a few entrees at dog shows we were hooked.
After “Power” won a few prizes, we decided to gradually develop our kennel and import more dogs.
We generally show our dogs in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany and their countries of origin.
We love the American Cocker! We are wedded to this breed, which we admire so much.
to see why.
For further information on our dogs, our kennel, and any litters in the pipeline please do not hesitate to contact us.
We wish you a lot of fun on our site, and hope to see you again.
